I used to be scared about what I thought I needed to do to succeed in direct sales until I discover the secret that turned everything around – put the spotlight on the other person and not what I was looking to get out of it.
Once I discovered the secret of putting the spotlight on the other person, I never thought about quitting again. Instead I could now create connections, enjoy teaching and sharing with the people who said, “yes” they wanted to learn more. Here’s how you can do this in your business…
Start by asking yourself:
What results am I getting from using my products? (make a list)
Which result am I authentically excited about?
Then insert that “result” into this question:
“I am so excited about ______________________ (results you are getting by using your products)! Is that something you would like to hear more about?”
If she says, “yes,” she would like to hear more, I recommend making one offer at a time. First offer a party where she and all her friends can learn how to get those amazing results. If she is not interested in hosting a party, offer to show her one-on-one. If that doesn’t appeal to her, offer to send her a link to a video to learn more (and make an appointment to follow up with her after she watches the video to see what she thinks).
Try this out with people you know and you’ll be amazed how easy it is to get permission to share your amazing products with them, and you won’t be dreading the process anymore!
